We develop the internet to a new level

Romanian Internet Technologies Event (RITE) is intended to facilitate interaction between Internet Services Providers, Internet Content Developers various Internet Users. RITE will open an interactive debate between producers and consumers on fundamental topics like: Internet Technologies, evolution of Internet contents (from simple
non-structured accessible data up to today Cloud media based on Containers Technology, OpenAI, Virtual Reality or DevOps current software production model used today by majority of IT companies).

Today Esther Dyson is a famous American investor. She is also a journalist, author, commentator and philanthropist. Her career is strongly linked to the Internet evolution as co-Founder of ICANN and the founding chair of ICANN, between: 1998-2000 after the tragic death of John Postel in 1998.

Today, Ether Dyson is wellknown mainly as an Angel Investor focused on digital technology, biotechnology, health care, open government and outer space.

Mike Karels is an American Software Engineer and one of the key people in history of BSD UNIX.
BSD Unix was the first software platform based on TCP/IP and used in the Internet infrastructure buildup.

Mike worked closely with Van Jacobson on a number of widely accepted algorithms in the BSD TCP implementation.

RITE 2023 will be his first visit in Romania

Paul Vixie
Paul Vixie serves as VP and Distinguished Engineer at AWS Security, and is a Director at SIE Europe U.G. He was previously the founder and CEO of Farsight Security (2013-2021).

He founded and operated the first anti-spam company (MAPS, 1996), the first non-profit Internet infrastructure software company (ISC, 1994), and the first neutral and noncommercial Internet exchange (PAIX, 1991).

Vixie was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in 2014.

Jeffrey Haemer
Dr. Jeffrey Haemer has given tutorials and presentations at dozens of conferences and forums, and has taught computer science at the University of Colorado. He was the USENIX Association’s representative to the IEEE/ISO POSIX effort.

He was a major sustainer of the ROSE Conferences which GURU (Romanian Unix Users Group) held from 1993 to 1996. Jeff has published over 100 articles, is a contributing author of the Linux Administration Handbook, and is the author of Pearson’s video series, Git Under the Hood.

RITE 2003 will be his fourth visit to Romania.

Alexandru Rotaru is a co-founder of the Romanian Unix Users Group – GURU (in 1992), initiator and main organizer of ROSE (Romanian Open Systems Event) conferences (1993-1996). He is a former Board Member of EurOpen, and attended various European events which were milestones for development of Internet services and networks on the continent. Today he is the CEO for the Romanian ISP RoLink Plus SA, a board member and one of the founders of ANISP, but also a board member of the Romanian Chapter of ISOC. He is curently chair of the organizing commitee for RITE 2023.

Răzvan Stoica has extensive experience in sales and business administration in the IT&C field. Starting 2013, he is the General Manager of GTS Telecom, one of the main IT&C service providers in Romania. Razvan joined GTS Telecom in 2000 as Sales Manager. In 2005 he took over the position of COO and in 2012 he became CCO. During more than 23 years of activity within the company, Răzvan coordinated important development and transformation projects that contributed to the consolidation of the business, as well as to increasing the quality of services offered to its customers.
